Interim Leadership

Curriculum Development

At Rapid and Sustained Ltd, we believe that meeting your pupils’ needs through a broad and challenging curriculum should be at the heart of what you do.

This requires middle and subject leaders to have the skills and knowledge to set develop a cohesive curriculum intent, provide support for staff to implement it consistently well and to monitor it regularly and accurately to check its impact.

Whether part of a one-off school review or as ongoing professional dialogue and support, we can work alongside you and your middle leaders to develop your curriculum. We can discuss curriculum planning and decision making with them and model effective practice for checking how well it’s working, as well as supporting with action planning for improvement.

We know that you wouldn’t be where you are now if you didn’t have the capabilities to lead your school. That’s why we will never try to tell you how you should lead your school.

Instead, through our coaching processes, we seek to help you develop your own strategies for leading and succeeding as a school leader.

SIP Partnership

Our flexible packages can be as straightforward as a set number of support days per year, with the specific focus agreed upon before each visit. This aligns with our standard School Improvement Partner (SIP) package, which traditionally includes one visit per term. Some clients opt for our premium SIP package, entailing one visit per half-term, allowing for a termly visit from the same consultant while utilising the additional visit for specific needs like early years, pupil premium, literacy, or pastoral support.

For our multi-academy trust clients, we often agree on a predetermined number of support days per school, allowing each school to determine how those days are allocated. For instance, a trust may request a termly SIP visit for each of their schools, external support for the headteacher performance management process, and a thematic review tailored to individual school requirements. Alternatively, a client might have one school opting for a two-day review with a follow-up SIP day later in the year, while another school chooses two one-day review visits spread across the year.

The most in-depth of all our external support , our rigorous developmental school reviews, do just that. We validate the accuracy of your self-evaluation, providing an accurate and detailed view of what is going well and what can be further strengthened. Delivered in a robust yet supportive way by our team of highly skilled and experienced consultants, this premium review aims to support you in your goal of building better outcomes for all.

So, what is the key to ensuring the above review works for your school? In a nutshell, personalisation. Perhaps you are running an outstanding school wanting to retain its rating or facing challenges heading up a school identified as requiring improvement. Or it could be that you are leading a multi- academy trust, with a host of different schools each requiring different levels of developmental support. Regardless of your needs, what we do is bespoke. This means that, while we use the current Ofsted framework as the backbone of this robust health check, the scope and intensity of our work is all customised and agreed with you in advance.

Investment in continual professional development is a fundamental part of a school’s growth. Whether carried out in-school or at one of our national training events, our range of programmes combine expert advice with practical activities and have one overriding aim – to maximise school improvement.

As with our entire service suite, personalising our training days is the key to their successful implementation. Working with subject leaders, senior leaders, governors and anyone required to evaluate the quality of education, and personal development provision our expert facilitators are able to adapt support to meet the requirements of individual primary and secondary schools, multi-academy trusts or federations.

Website Reviews

The website is a crucial starting point for anyone wanting to find out about your school – prospective parents as well as Ofsted inspectors. It is essential that all schools comply with the DFE’s requirements for what must be published on their websites.

Our standard website review has been enhanced to cover the same comprehensive compliance check and also include a narrative on readability, design and audience suitability.

What it does

Our review still provides a full report on the effectiveness of your website. Each statutory aspect will be evaluated in line with the most up-to-date legislation and our expert will undertake exactly the same checks as those carried out by an Ofsted Lead Inspector prior to an inspection. As well as checking whether statutory documents and information are on your website, policies and other documents will be scrutinised to ensure they are up to date. In addition, the report now includes information about the navigation and general website layout considering an audience of parents as well as inspectors. Our report will also provide a clear summary of areas for action as well as suggestions for improvements to enhance the information you are already providing
